2 Major Companies Bankrolling SPLC Will Cut Off Grants After DOJ Indictment

 The federal indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center, which accuses the SPLC of wire fraud and bank fraud for funding members of the very white supremacist groups it claims to dismantle, has led some financial institutions to block grants to the group.

After Fidelity Investments and Vanguard Financial announced they would stop issuing grants to the SPLC due to the indictment, The Daily Signal reached out to 15 companies on the Fortune 1000 whose (in some cases independent) foundations sent the SPLC more than $10,000 since 2020.

Two of these companies have followed Fidelity’s lead in stating that the SPLC will not be eligible to receive grants through donor-advised funds due to the federal indictment.

“Corporate donations to the Southern Poverty Law Center underscore the need for companies to ensure they are not inadvertently supporting extremism,” Dustin DeVito, director of research at 1792 Exchange, told The Daily Signal in a statement Friday.

In addition, these practical helpers can transcend device boundaries and manage login data equally on smartphones, desktops, and laptops. Typically, they are stored end-to-end encrypted in the cloud. Passwords should also only be decrypted in memory for a short time. However, Microsoft’s password manager in the Edge browser fails here.

Unions turn on Starmer ahead of election rout

Union bosses have turned on Sir Keir Starmer ahead of an expected local election bloodbath, citing his failure to deliver the change he promised.

The median worship attendance dropped by more than half. Church closures and the rise of the nones — those who claim no religion — have grabbed all the headlines. And faith in institutions like organized religion has plummeted.

Yet a new report from the Hartford Institute for Religion Research shows signs of a shift — for the first time in two decades, attendance is up. More people are volunteering, and there also seems to be a renewed sense of optimism among pastors and other clergy.

“The headline finding is cautious optimism,” Alison Norton, co-director of the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, told reporters at the annual conference of the Religion News Association, meeting in Atlanta. She added that the data showed a story of resilience and recalibration.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Champlin Mayor Ryan Sabas said that “in my nearly 10 years of being on the city council in Champlin and going on four years as mayor of this town, I have never heard from more people on any one issue than I did about the Minnesota state flag.”

The new flag has become a cultural and political flashpoint in a state already reeling from one of the largest fraud scandals in U.S. history, heavily involving the Somali immigrant community. The flag was approved by a 13-member commission created by the Democratic-controlled legislature in 2023. Critics of the flag say it is overly simplistic and some have even knocked it as bearing a resemblance to Somalia’s national flag.

It’s impossible not to see the similarities between Minnesota’s new flag and the Somali flag.

They are massively OVER-building capacity that can’t possibly be met by customer demand for compute.

There’s clearly some other plan afoot, and I don’t yet know what it is. It involves massive compute, but not merely to serve inference or hosting databases and corporate data. There’s a much larger plan at work here.
