That’s the honest answer for the vast majority of people who went to school in the 1970s, 80s, or 90s. Gender dysphoria—the clinically significant distress from a mismatch between one’s biological sex and perceived gender identity—was extraordinarily rare in those eras. Clinical prevalence estimates for “transsexualism” (the older term) were on the order of 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 30,000 adults or lower, mostly adult males with long-standing, persistent dysphoria often linked to specific patterns like autogynephilia.

You didn’t hear about it in school because it wasn’t showing up in noticeable numbers among kids. Referrals to specialists were minimal; it wasn’t a topic of peer discussion, social contagion, or institutional focus.

What’s changed?

Data from the 2010s–2020s shows dramatic rises:

• England: Recorded gender dysphoria/incongruence in under-18s rose ~50-fold from 2011 to 2021 (from ~1 in 60,000 to ~1 in 1,200). It accelerated after ~2015, especially among natal females (now roughly twice as common as males in youth cohorts). Highest in 17–18 year olds.

• US surveys: Trans identification among 18–24 year olds roughly quintupled from 2014 (~0.6%) to 2023 (~3%). Broader youth self-reports show even higher figures in some datasets. Older adults saw far smaller shifts.

• Sex ratio reversal in adolescents (more natal females), younger age of onset, and strong clustering with mental health issues (anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, same-sex attraction) and social media exposure.

This isn’t just “better awareness.” A condition going from vanishingly rare to clinic referrals exploding 20–50x (with self-ID surveys even higher) in one generation points to social, cultural, and psychological factors: rapid-onset cases, peer influence via online communities, broader identity exploration amid rising adolescent distress, and institutional affirmation that can reinforce rather than explore comorbidities. Recent data also hints at some plateau/decline in certain youth cohorts as debates intensify and desistance is better recognized.

Biology hasn’t changed. Human sexual dimorphism, brain development, puberty as a key period for identity consolidation, and desistance rates in earlier cohorts (many gender-nonconforming kids grew out of it, often identifying as gay/lesbian) are well-documented. The explosion aligns with when smartphones, Tumblr/TikTok trends, and “gender affirming” policies took off—not hidden historical prevalence.

The INAH-3 brain abnormality that causes homosexual behavior wasn't discovered until recently. The early 2000s I think. It's closely related to transvestitism and pedophilia.

Anecdotal evidence would suggest it's brought on by several factors:

A huge increase in childhood vaccines that have toxic adjuvants like mercury in them;

Chemical and soy based ingredients in baby formula. I breast fed my boys but they still turned gay later in life. Soy mimics estrogen which could explain why so many young men are effeminate and why young women have such large breasts now;

Psychological manipulation from schooling starting with K;

And mRNA vaccines that aren't vaccines at all. They're a gene manipulating therapy that should never have been approved. C-19 was a bad cold not the end of the world.

I tried to abide by the Hippocratic Oath but in practical application I have to follow government and group protocols which in hindsight was a huge mistake.
