The emotional hemophiliacs of the internet.

I wasn’t very active on social media until I joined X. On other platforms, I mostly lurked or was there my family or friends. I saw trolls, but I never experienced them directly.

That’s changed. I’m getting used to it. I'm not a victim, it's just new to me.

The internet troll isn’t misunderstood.

They’re disordered, manipulative, maladapted and desperate for attention.

They don’t want to change your mind.

They want your spotlight.

Let’s be clear about who we’re dealing with::

1. Borderline Personality Disorder with Narcissistic Traits:

These trolls react like you threatened their survival.

You express confidence. They see abandonment.

You stay calm. They see superiority.

They split you into hero or villain, safe or threatening, instantly.

They punish you to restore their illusion of control.

What made them this way:

They were raised in chaos. Love was conditional. Emotional needs were punished or ignored.

They internalized instability as normal.

They learned that rage guarantees attention and emotional dysregulation guarantees results.

You didn’t hurt them. You reminded them they don’t matter.

So they weaponize emotion to punish you for existing.

2. Covert Narcissism:

These trolls disguise envy as moral correction.

They accuse you of arrogance, overconfidence, or privilege, not because you are, but because they aren’t.

They don’t want justice. They want to drag you down until they feel taller.

What made them this way:

They were praised for how they performed, never for who they were.

They grew up addicted to validation but incapable of self worth.

Without applause, they spiral into narcissistic collapse.

You didn’t take their spotlight.

You just refused to beg for it like they do, and they hate you for it.

3. Narcissistic Opportunism:

These trolls don’t care what you said.

They care that you have what they don’t: reach.

They provoke visible people for one reason: exposure.

They bait you, tag you, and antagonize you, not because they’re offended, but because your name carries weight.

So they cling to it.

What made them this way:

They were conditioned to equate attention with value.

They never built substance, so they learned to borrow it.

They offer no original thought. No clarity. No spine.

Just volume into lonely, echo chambers.

They don’t have beliefs.

They have tactics.

And your name is their shortcut to relevance.

For them, obscurity feels like annihilation.

4. Sociopathy:

These trolls are wounded, but their wound hardened into cruelty.

They don’t seek connection. They seek control.

They bait people not from emotional injury, but from calculated impulse.

They provoke chaos because chaos is familiar.

What made them this way:

They were shaped by abandonment, neglect, or emotional deprivation.

Where there should have been empathy, there was void.

So they built their identity around domination.

Not to be understood, but to be feared.

They’re not trying to win the argument.

They’re trying to dismantle your stability.

Because that’s the only power they’ve ever had.

In Summary:

These are low functioning individuals.

They are maladaptive, dysregulated, and pathologically externalized.

They rely on projection because they cannot introspect.

They antagonize because they cannot attach.

They perform outrage to simulate identity.

Their personalities are not organized around values.

They are organized around deficit, volatility, and narcissistic demand.

They don’t hate your post.

They hate that you exist outside their dysfunction.

Because stability makes them irrelevant.
