My sister's power is still out after 9+ days after the derecho last week.

She lucky to have a standby generator.

I've got an 8kW generator, but I can't supply it with fuel since both my cars have a rollover device in the filler neck that prevents siphoning.

I should talk to Chip about something for the Tacoma so I can get gas out of it somehow.

The Company's new fall lineup is out now. I picked up a couple things...

the ball bounce is how anvil faces are tested, on older anvils the bodies were made of wrought iron or from a mild steel with the tool steel face forge welded to the body a good weld will ring out when the ball strikes, a bad weld or crack in the face steel will return duller sound. never strike an anvil face with a hammer without metal between the two. resistors in parallel will always have a resistance less than the lowest value resistor. I got a good schooling in electrons growing up, my dad was a test technician at Rockwell/Collins radio for 30 years. I used to print my own circuit boards. when I learned the resistor color values it was black boys rape our young girls but violet gives up willingly (get some now) for the tolerance gold silver none. it is how I still teach it.

maybe when the gas pump goes out have him add a Mad Max valve with a manual petcock and plumbing to the gas tank while he's got it down, don't forget to have the piezoelectric ignitor installed at that time, rig the arming wire(s) as required. invisible dog fence kits work well to keep would be thieves from getting too far down the road.

I mentioned it briefly to Chip in passing once, he said to just tap into the main line to the injectors, which I have no idea which one that would be.

I think that might be a high pressure line, I'm not sure.

My hands & back are pretty fucked up since the accident in '13. My wrenching is limited to household emergencies as a rule now.

Gas tanks are pretty low on my priority list.

Emergencies like my 16' driveway gates. Apparently the main gate posts are drifting together, making it hard to open.

It's not a difficult job to adjust the hinges, just unwieldly. I need a second set of hands, but everybody's so damn busy trying to stay afloat.

I should see what Sling Blade is up to. We need to get the tags squared away on Red Truck before the end of month anyway.

His last text at ~0530 a few Fridays ago was kinda weird. He was probably just getting home from his Thursday night DJ gig at Tronic.

My Somali Medicare scammers/fishers changed from (260)412-xxxx to (260)423-xxxx. Five calls today. So far. No messages.

Whatever they're lookin' for, it must be lucrative to put this much effort into it.

It makes me wonder how much it costs to buy an entire phone exchange. The suffixes range from 0000 to 9999.

I suppose they might be using CID spoofing to bypass blocking.

It's hard on my battery life. Good thing I replaced it several months ago.

I don't carry my phone; I'm married so I don't need another ball and chain. I only look at mine maybe once in the morning, it will go unused for days got tired of the amber alerts and such so now I shut it down completely.

I guess I figured the crack being across two axes reduced the total stress.

Which is mostly correct I suppose...

The math and formulas are above my paygrade now.

I was a lot better about this stuff before my brain got mashed up.

This one eluded me, I still don't really understand it. Assuming the pucks were fixed to the bottom surface, I figured the welded side. Maybe that doesn't matter.

My first thought was if the non-welded pucks weren't fixed, or like pilings, they would just squirt out.

This is the most interesting thing going on that I can find. The news sucks today. Stupid shit.

If I remember to bring my phone downstairs in the morning, it sits on my stairs.

The only time I have it on me, is if I go out somewhere so I can call a tow truck if my car dies on the road.

It happened once when I was going to the store in Red Truck and had to call a hook a few years ago. SB has it now [ignition module].

That's when I found out that Tammy's Towing is a 'We'll pick up your car for cash' joint only. [246-2468 a great phone number]. They gave me me Blue Eagle's number.

Once in a blue moon, people actually DO need to get ahold of me, and I'll talk/text with Kim, usually after hours.

You'll never catch me walking hunched over it oblivious as to what's going on around me.

Doc's the same way when she's here. Her iDooDad pad and phone are retired on the weekend as much as possible.

I'm too cheap to buy a data plan on my phone anyway, and too lazy to get a decent provider. I have Verizon.

My few friends that are still extant [haven't been killed by Biden and Fauchi's clot-shot mandates] know that I don't like being bothered when I have company.

Last weekend was nice her being here from Friday night 'til Monday morning.

Usually the only time we get two days together is on Monday holidays, but they're not as restful for some reason.

I never learned the math but for some reason I am able to visualize what will happen, any flaw in a pressure vessel can result in harm and or damage. my uncle was a fireman on the USS Intrepid during WWII when it was attacked by kamikaze aircraft, broom handles were used to find high pressure steam leaks from the damage the planes caused, most below deck causalities were from being sliced by steam escaping from a pin hole sized leak while running blindly through a passageway. He was an officer in Korea operating the railroad system. last time I saw him was in '78 a bit before he retired from the railroad, he passed away about 15 years ago.

Before my brain injuries, I used to be able to visualize stress vectors in my head.

Not so much anymore.

Math was never my strong suit, but not using it much anymore isn't helping much.

I'm using that website to see how retarded I am now after being killed.

I used to visualize things in 3D, mostly 2D now.

Not hopeless, but not ideal.
