The Megaquake That Will Hit 8 States at Once and Nobody Is Ready (Video covers previous quakes of 1811-12.

It also speculates about possible damage for the quake I expect in maybe 2 or 3 years.)

There are no records of buildings actually collapsing in Nashville during the 1811–12 New Madrid earthquake sequence. The damage there was reported as severe shaking and fallen chimneys, not structural failures.

Here's what the historical record shows:

Nashville was hit hard by the shaking itself. The ground motions from the first main shock (Dec. 16, 1811, ~M7.7) were described as "most alarming and frightening in places like Nashville, Tennessee, and Louisville, Kentucky," with houses and other structures severely shaken and many chimneys knocked down

Chimney collapse was the classic signature of strong shaking on brick/chimney construction, but it stops short of a building collapse.

Estimated intensity in Nashville was around Modified Mercalli VII–VIII (damaging to very strong), which is consistent with cracked masonry, toppled chimneys, and shifted foundations rather than total destruction

A contemporary newspaper report (Louisiana Gazette, St. Louis, Dec. 1811) simply noted that "The Earthquake was felt at Nashville, Ten. with like effects and about the same moment it was felt here," without describing any destroyed structures 4

Context matters: Nashville in 1811–12 was a small frontier town of only a few hundred people, mostly wood-frame and log construction, which flexes rather than collapses. The worst structural damage and the only real destruction occurred near the epicentral zone in northeast Arkansas/southeast Missouri/western Tennessee — though even there, damage to man-made structures was relatively limited because the area was so sparsely settled

The most dramatic physical changes were geological: Reelfoot Lake formed by subsidence, sand blows, and the Mississippi appearing to run backward

(This is why I want to move east of Nashville I expect the US West Coast to die in early 2027?.)

Trump considering using huge ships to deport illegals to Central and South America.

The Trump administration has discussed using ships to transport migrants to Central and South America, two U.S. officials told The New York Times.

It is unknown why the plan is being considered, though it would offload deportation costs from Homeland Security to the War Department, the Times reported.

“D.H.S. is assessing all our resources, to maximize efficiency and continue to deliver on President [Donald] Trump’s mission of securing the homeland for all Americans,” the Homeland Security Department said in a statement.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin “is 100 percent focused on ensuring that the needs of our department are met while being the best possible steward of taxpayer dollars.”

The War Department did not comment on the proposal.

The Trump administration has previously deported people using military planes and has also promoted policies that would allow immigrants to self-deport.

James Talarico 'Disappeared' To A Mental Health Facility: Report

On Sunday morning, independent journalist Nick Sortor gave James Talarico an ultimatum regarding his mysterious two-week absence from the campaign trail.

Sortor and Rhein Amacher gave Talarico until 1 p.m. ET Sunday to explain where he had been.

The Talarico campaign did not respond, and Sortor followed through with his promise, releasing audio suggesting that an Ohio mental health facility discharged Texas state Rep. James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate within the past few days.

Talarico's campaign attributed the absence to the flu.

On the call, Amacher asks a woman who answers the phone at the Lindner Center of Hope whether the facility has anything for James Talarico. A long pause follows.

"It looks like he was just discharged this evening," the employee says. "That's why I don't have it."

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton responded to Talarico's disappearance on Fox News Friday night.

"I've been in a lot of races," he said. "This is the strangest one I've ever seen. I've never had a candidate disappear for almost two weeks, doing no public appearances, no explanation of why until now. And then, suddenly, after missing appearance after appearance, canceling event after event, he suddenly shows up at a musical festival. Not to speak, but just to walk around. It was just a very, very -- it's been a very strange two weeks."

Sortor's audio confirmed circumstantial evidence Republican strategist Caroline Wren posted on Saturday from a flight tracker app that she said show a private plane traveling from Austin to a small Ohio airport near an inpatient mental health facility, then returning to Texas hours before the Democratic Senate nominee reappeared on Friday.

"What are the chances that a private plane took off from Austin and flew to tiny Hamilton airport in Ohio which is 20 mins from the Lindner Center, a private inpatient mental health treatment facility, and then turned around and flew back to Austin landing yesterday morning at 10:24am right before James Talarico magically reappears at the Austin City Limits music festival that afternoon?" Wren wrote on X.

While the Talarico campaign hasn't responded to this new revelation, former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt argued that the campaign's radio silence for nearly two weeks suggests they were definitely hiding something.
