MSNOW JUST BROKE THE OMAR RAID NEWS AND IMMEDIATELY FOUND A WAY TO MAKE IT ABOUT TRUMP.

The AP reports that Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Rep. Ilhan Omar's D.C.-area home as part of a criminal investigation. DOJ says they were acting on a judicially authorized search warrant.

A federal judge signed off on searching a sitting congresswoman's home. MSNOW's big takeaway was that President Trump has been a critic of Omar for many years.

Then they spent about ten seconds on it and moved right along to "our next guest."

If agents had searched a Republican's home this morning, MSNOW would run wall-to-wall coverage until Christmas. When it's Ilhan Omar, it's a quick mention, a swipe at Trump, and a commercial break.

They aren't a news network. They're a damage control desk.

The crazy/stupid index is super-high today. I've been shutdown about six times already.
Somebody doesn't want me talking about their pet bubblehead somali-trash muzz.

I need some Brasso metal polish, but Lowe's two miles away is worse than getting to Kroger with the construction.
I thought I'd add it to an Amazon order, I'm not in a big hurry for it.
The cheapest was $14 for two 8oz bottles, plus plus. Lowe's wants $5 for one. I don't need that much.
Amazon had some like 1.2 oz 'retro' cans. Crazy high, thirty bux or something. WTAF?
Kroger doesn't carry it. I'm tempted to pay too much and get way too much just to save the aggravation.
Maybe Chris might need take a bottle but bare metal isn't his bailiwick. Car stuff is.

BREAKING: Texas Cattle Rancher says Texas politicians are pushing to make ALL food in Texas schools Halal to accommodate Muslims:

“What's happening here in Texas, they're pushing to use state funds to have only halal meat in our kids' public schools”

Lara Logan says one of the reasons it’s being pushed is because it’s expensive to run 2 kitchens with 2 sets of meals for students, so making it all Halal is the goal

But it goes deeper than that, she says it’s really about putting American cattle ranchers out of business and changing our supply chains

“For meat to be truly halal, in theory, it should be grown by a Muslim farmer. It should be harvested by Muslims. be stored and transported by Muslims and handled only by Muslims. Then it should be, when it reaches the other side, whether it's a supermarket or a coffee shop or a grocery store or whatever it is, it should only be around other food that is halal. It shouldn't be exposed to non-halal food.

It shouldn't be exposed to people handling it, preparing it, serving it who are non-Muslims — ultimately, the goal is for food to be truly halal. It needs to be only handled and exposed by Muslims from beginning to end, which means the replacement, the economic replacement of every single part of the food chain that to make it Muslim”

I guess telling them to GTFO is islamophobic. Eeeek!

FAKE NEWS MSNOW IS SUDDENLY VERY CONCERNED ABOUT "THE TEMPERATURE" IN THIS COUNTRY.

MSNOW ran a segment on a New York Times review of public records from 2024 through this August.

The Times found thousands of violent threats against elected officials, including 44 governors, 70 senators, and at least 185 members of Congress. Only 53 people were charged.

Every one of those threats is disgusting, no matter who the target is. Threatening to hurt or kill someone over politics belongs in a prison cell.

Only 53 charges is a joke.

Here's what MSNOW won't say. This is the same network that spends every single day calling President Trump a fascist, a dictator, and a threat to democracy.

He has survived two assassination attempts while they kept turning up the heat.

Then they close the segment with "Let's just hope we can take down the temperature."

You want the temperature down? Start with your own anchors.

Grifters will tell you wind is green. They forget to tell you about the 100–200 tons of steel rebar, 600–800 m³ of concrete buried forever, rare-earth magnets from toxic processing, and fibreglass composite blades that mostly end up in landfills.

Net Zero is a scam.

That didn't look right to me so checked with ChatGPT:

>>If $1 million in $10 bills was stacked up into a neat cube, what would be the cube dimensions?

A million dollars in $10 bills would be 100,000 banknotes.

A US bill measures approximately 6.14 × 2.61 inches (156 × 66.3 mm) and is about 0.0043 inches (0.109 mm) thick.

If you stacked all 100,000 bills neatly, the stack would measure approximately:

Length: 6.14 inches (15.6 cm)

Width: 2.61 inches (6.63 cm)

 Height: 430 inches (10.9 m)

The volume would be about 1.75 cubic feet (49.8 liters).

So the cube would be approximately 37 × 37 × 37 cm, or 14.5 × 14.5 × 14.5 inches.

That's a cube about the size of a large microwave oven's interior, containing $1 million in $10 bills.

I meant to ping you to post #3, the Brasso paradox.

Buster Keaton broke his neck making Sherlock Jr. and didn't find out until 1935.

In the 1924 film, water from a tower spout hit far harder than planned and slammed the back of his neck against a steel rail.

He had blinding headaches for weeks.

Years later a doctor spotted a healed fracture in his top vertebra on an X ray.

Hand me one Keaton film over a dozen green screen blockbusters.

The predictable is the preventable.

Saturday’s death at Yorkshire Wildlife Park shows what happens when an apex predator is treated as a content prop rather than the lethal animal it is. The same refusal of material reality appears when biological sex is declared optional, discarding the evidence on dimorphism that underpins safeguarding policy in sport, medicine, prisons and child protection.

When observable constraints are subordinated to narrative, the safeguards built on those constraints collapse. Material facts do not negotiate.

Walmart is selling real diamond earrings for $12.

Not a typo. Half-carat lab-grown diamonds, same carbon, graded by the same labs that grade the stone in your engagement ring. A jeweler can't tell them apart without a machine.

And that $12 price tag is why the company that invented the engagement ring is about to get sold for scrap.

De Beers ran the diamond trade for over a century. At its peak it controlled up to 90% of the world's rough supply, and when demand dipped it just locked diamonds in London vaults until prices came back. The slogan "A Diamond Is Forever" came from their ad agency in 1947. So did the rule that a ring should cost two months of your salary. Before that campaign, most American brides never got a diamond at all.

The whole thing held for 80 years because there were only so many mines. Then China started growing diamonds in reactors, and there's no vault on earth big enough to hide a factory's output.

Lab-grown wholesale prices have crashed roughly 96% from their peak, down to around $100 a carat. The Knot says 61% of engagement rings sold in 2025 had lab-grown center stones, up 239% since 2020. Even De Beers' own average selling price fell 32% in a year, to $105 a carat.

So Anglo American, which owns De Beers, has written it down by $6.8 billion in two years and is now in talks to sell the whole thing for about $1 billion. This is a company that was valued over $18 billion in 2001 and $13 billion as recently as 2011.

The stones coming out of the ground are the same as ever. The only scarce thing De Beers ever owned was the marketing, and marketing doesn't survive a $12 price tag at Walmart.

BREAKING: Actress Selma Blair has been arrested after authorities say she tried to open a plane door midflight before allegedly punching one flight attendant and biting another.

The incident unfolded aboard a Delta flight bound for New York’s JFK Airport. Two flight attendants reported injuries, and one was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Blair’s representative says the actress suffered a medical emergency that triggered the alleged behavior and says she is now in stable condition.

The FBI is investigating as Blair remains hospitalized for evaluation. It is not yet clear whether she will face criminal charges.

"Medical emergency" AKA clot-shot lobotomy and terminal TDS.

Shane Gillis takes a swipe at cancel culture during his SNL monologue, sparking a heated debate online.

After poking fun at his appearance and joking about his "Hitler haircut," the comedian turns the joke into a jab at America's political divide.

"You're either gay or you're Hitler. And isn't that where we are as a country?"

Now, viewers are debating whether Gillis nailed his point or took the joke too far.

I think something went wrong here.
~50 litres is around 13 gallons, two and a half 5 gallon buckets.

ChatGPT says 1 cubic foot = approximately 7.48 US gallons.

That can be surprising.  A traditional 1 gallon milk jug is about 6x6x8 inches minus the space for the handle.  So 4 could fit snugly all on the floor of a 1 foot cube leaving space above them and the waste space for the handles & tapered top....

1 cubic foot of water weighs about 62 pounds.  The average person therefore consists of about 3 cubic feet of humanity.

Google AI Overview

A million dollars in ten dollar bills consists of 100,000 individual notes, weighing about 220 pounds (100 kg) and taking up roughly 4 to 5 cubic feet of space.

Physical Breakdown

Number of Bills: 100,000 notes

Weight: ~220 pounds (100 kg), since each U.S. paper bill weighs approximately 1 gram.

Height of a Single Stack: If all 100,000 bills are stacked flat in a single column (each bill is about 0.0043 inches thick), the stack would reach roughly 35.8 feet (10.9 meters) high.

Packed Volume: Organized into standard 1,000-note or 10,000-note bank bundles, it requires about 4 to 5 cubic feet of volume. This fits nicely into a medium-sized suitcase, a small footlocker, or about 1,000 strapped stack bundles. [End]

I was up at 0400 again today, so I'm pretty fuzzy headed.

The AIs agree on the number of notes and the size of a stack [10.9 m].

The discrepancy seems to be in the volume, 1.75 vs. 4-5 cuft [That may be closer to the picture that started this discussion].

I questioned it because of the 49.8 liter figure. A liter is roughly equal to a quart, a little bit larger.

50 quarts = 12.5 gallons or 2.5 five-gallon buckets, a pretty big volume.

I've found that earlier versions of @Grok, when they're wrong, would really dig in and try to discredit you.

The latest version seems pretty decent. At least it doesn't lie about the joo's shenanigans thanks to @RabbiJeffx constant hounding. LOL.

Good grief, I asked Google AI what the volume of 2.5 5-gallon buckets is and did it again for 49.8 liters.
The answer came back ~1.75 cuft +/-. Where'd the 4-5 cuft come from?

Skynet is taking over.
We're doomed.

Since the future of human civilization depends on this, I've taken some extraordinary steps of doing the calcs myself.  Most of them anyway.

Accepting the thickness of 0.0043 inches for the bills, an easy multiplication by 100k bills comes out to 430 inches or 35.8 feet single stack height, ignoring the physics of the bills at the bottom getting compressed by the weight.

The X display shows that stack divided into a 4x9 (probably 9) grid, so dividing the 35.8 feet height by 36 comes out to about each stack coming out to be just short of 1 foot tall.  The LxW applied to the bill size would come out to about 2 feet each way, some 24.5 x 23.5 inches.  So by those calcs, it would come out to just under 4 cubic feet.  Chat GPT said 1.75 cubic feet.

I challenged ChatGPT on it's calcs and it recomputed them and agreed it was wrong previously. It now says it would be 3.99 cubic feet.  It did not apologize.

A liter is 10 cm cubed, so there are 28.3 liters in a cubic foot, so the liter volume would be maybe 110 or so.

I guess to me the X display makes the block of bills (of course only the bills on top are real and there's a block of styrofoam in the middle) seem bigger than it really is.

OK, I'll buy that now. I didn't calculate anything yesterday, I probably left my phone upstairs.
I guess I just converted liters [quarts] to gallons then to buckets to get a rough idea of size.
I just knew 'something' was off.

My argument with the stubborn Grok, maybe a year ago, was about identifying an animal and what was being done to it in a video.
My ex-wife and I have owned several horses over the years, so I'm pretty capable at identifying those.
Grok swore up and down that it was a cow on a milking machine.
The stallion wasn't being 'milked', but what they were trying to acquire was probably white.
After three back & forth posts, I gave up. It wouldn't budge.
The exchange was comical. I think it was on a Tim Walz thread. IYKYK.
