The Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed North Korea was behind the 'biggest hack in history' after $6.3billion was stolen from the cryptocurrency giant Binance, sending executives into an overnight panic.
An investigation led by the FBI, the United States Secret Service and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation has uncovered malicious North Korean cyber activity by 'TraderTraitor,' an elite hacking group.
Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange by daily trading volumes, said on Thursday that investigations had 'uncovered additional points of breach,' contrary to initial findings that suggested the hack involved a single compromised laptop.
The company later said the estimated total impact was 'around $6.3 billion,' making the hack one of the most significant security incidents on record.
Trader Traitor is believed to be part of Lazarus Group, which gained notoriety in 2014 when it was accused of hacking into Sony Pictures as revenge for The Interview, a film that mocked North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

In the final sprint to the midterm elections, former President Barack Obama has hit the campaign trail to stump for Democrat candidates.
One of his favorite talking points? Health insurance premiums, he says, are too high. Apparently, he doesn’t see the irony.
“We’ve got to make sure that nobody has to worry about high healthcare premiums,” Obama declared at a rally in Georgia recently. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s virtually word-for-word the same line Obama was feeding to audiences during his first campaign for president in 2008.
Perhaps the 44th president needs to be reminded that his signature legislative achievement (the one that literally bears his name) was sold to the American public as a cure-all to lower health insurance premiums. Or, perhaps he simply can’t cope with the fact that Obamacare is just as much of an ugly, dismal failure as his grotesque presidential library – a monstrosity that has turned the American healthcare system into a nightmare for virtually everyone.
Either way, voters should feel insulted at how stupid Obama apparently thinks they are. How many times do Democrats expect the public to buy the same lie?
The numbers bear out what a calamity Obamacare has been for American patients.

Philadelphia has once again been named the poorest major city in the United States, reclaiming an unwanted title after briefly losing last year.
A whopping 20.4% of Philadelphia residents lived below the poverty line in 2025, according to newly released U.S. Census Bureau data, marking the city's first increase in poverty since 2011.
The figures, first reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer, put Philadelphia ahead of Houston and New York City, which both recorded poverty rates of 17.7%.
The reversal comes after Philadelphia briefly surrendered its unwanted title to Houston in 2024, when its poverty rate dropped to 19.7%, its lowest level since at least 1979.
The latest figures also revealed that Philadelphia's median household income stood at just $67,400 in 2025. A family of four earning approximately $32,750 annually was considered to be living in poverty, according to federal guidelines.

DOJ Exposes Ghost Student Fraud Ring, Seizes More Than $750,000 in Crypto
The Justice Department on Thursday charged five people in Operation Ghostbusters, a nationwide case built on students who do not exist. Prosecutors say the ring took the stolen identities of real Americans, opened federal student aid accounts in their names and enrolled what the department calls "ghost students" at colleges across the country. The department also announced the seizure of more than $750,000 in cryptocurrency tied to the scheme through a network associated with Kenyan nationals.
The indictments came from the U.S. Attorney's Offices for the Eastern District of Virginia, Nebraska and New Jersey. In one Virginia case, the indictment says a Kenyan national used multiple bank accounts to receive over 700 fraudulent refund deposits, totaling approximately $1,439,548. Once tuition and fees were paid, the department says, the leftover money was diverted to accounts controlled by foreign actors, with help from U.S.-based money mules.

This was not atypical. There were big payouts for Covid deaths. When I said it was to restrict medical rights I meant both physician and patient rights.
