I think we should have had more than three impeachments !!!

I was watching Bill Moyers being interviewed. He said, "Nixon never admitted wrong doing, but Trump has admitted wrong doing."

I wish Bill could be more specific.

All of this hogwash over impeachment was to put Trump in an untenable position and try to damage him in the upcoming reelection.

Trump is still an outsider and that is why they want him out of the Oval Office. ;)

Trump is a "Gothic" warrior that has ridden into a cancer ridden Roman Empire that is dying in its own filth. His sword is drawn against the pedophiles and deviants living their last moments like the Roman senate, still believing their own falsehoods, and the illusion of strength, which is quickly dissipating and becoming a hot rage born of the lies, frauds, thefts, and outrageous murders of American youth in wars of greed, fomented by bankers and criminal politicians.

Donald John Trump is a leader of men that cherish freedom and goodness not the perversions promoted by the criminal elites. It is time for the good men of America to stand with Trump, and cut out the cancer that has been eating away at this nation for 100 years. Tolerance for evil is a deadly poison meant to transfer power from the righteous unto the wicked.

It is time for the mealy mouth gate keepers like Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, and their ilk to speak solid truth to power instead of acting in complicity thinking to preserve their positions of wealth and influence. Should they continue to preserve the 2 party masquerade that is killing America they should all suffer the consequences of their treason.

Sharing your view re the gatekeepers. To my mind as a history student, there is a glue that keeps all of this charade together.

And Trump posseses the chemical that can dissolve that glue. That is why he is a threat to them and their charade. The Gatekeepers are also complicit. ;)

Serious question for you and anyone else:

Why would any of you *think* for even a *fleeting* second that a person who almost immediately squandered a several hundred million dollar inheritance and who then went on a 25 year tear of deceit, which includes serial fornication, bankruptcies, fraud and failures and who then adopted the wholly contrived persona of an older, fatter Karsashian, without the business success, in the misnamed *Reality* TV medium, would be a successful President of the United States...

I paid little attention to Trump before he ran for President. I don't have to answer for his behavior, deserved or not, prior to his becoming the Commander in Chief. And, in my opinion, he has already been the most successful president in my lifetime and will be more successful in his 2nd term once he gets the leftists and Marxist cry babies off of his back.

One of his primary accomplishments has been to goad the left into acting out in the clear absence of any sign of sanity. While they scream like little girls that haven't gotten their way, Trump just keeps us moving in the right direction concerning trade, the economy, jobs, and having law enforcement round up the pedophiles and human traffickers.

By the way, war, are you a bot ???

Difference in time and society. I knew at eight years olde that war was coming. How was that possible? We had a daily 5 cent newspaper and radio at night. Adults gathered and talked at night. We were dirt poor but adults were paying attention, I had two older brothers, one of which paid the full price.

Hard lesson learned???

When you are at the very bottom of the social ladder, be assured that the government, regardless of party, will fight any war to the last drop of your blood.

That is a fact, that is life.

Unlike FDR

During the time previous to the attack on Pearl Harbor, the U.S. had already broken the Jap Naval Code. So the U.S. knew what was coming. Why do you think the carriers were at sea?

Roosevelt let Pearl Harbor happen since he knew the outcome would mean war. And that would mean the U.S. economy would get mobilized and there would be hundreds of thousands of volunteers.

My Mom was in love with a Seabee but he got killed in the South Pacific. :-/

The oil embargo DID NOT cause Japan to attack Pearl Harbor. The embargo was a catalyst, not a cause of the war. The historical record is quite clear - the embargo started in July 1941, but Japan started planning an attack on Pearl Harbor at the start of 1941, several months before the embargo even happened.

The oil embargo DID NOT cause Japan to attack Pearl Harbor.

Actually Japan FIRST attacked the US on Dec.12...1937...

The Japanese air force attacked and sank an American gunboat in China killing several American service men and machine gunning survivors in lifeboats.

So the war actually started four years earlier, Dec. 1937.

From that day forward the US KNEW WHAT WAS COMING. If you check history, you will find that the US started withdrawing American civilians from all Pacific outposts and bases...IN JUNE 1941...six months before second attack.

Anyone could have been President, the die was cast and FDR went with it.

No connection even though he could have used it. Congress, however, would still have had to make the declaration and it might not have done it.

Israel attacked the USS Liberty and instead of declaring war, LBJ did everything he could to cover it up.

from your url...

Most important, the U.S. government engaged in a series of increasingly stringent economic warfare measures that pushed the Japanese into a predicament that U.S. authorities well understood would probably provoke them to attack U.S. territories and forces in the Pacific region in a quest to secure essential raw materials that the Americans, British, and Dutch (government in exile) had embargoed.2 How U.S. Economic Warfare Provoked Japan's Attack on Pearl Harbor | Robert Higgs

This is factual on its face but far from the truth...

After the attack in Dec. 1937 AMERICA DID NOT EMBARGO OIL... Nor scrap metal...

American military died and WE DID NOTHING. I had older friend that served time in China and on the Panay before it was sunk. We need to realize that Hitler and Germany HAD NOT STARTED WW2 at the time. HOW COULD FDR HAVE WANTED TO GO TO WAR WITH GERMANY AT THE TIME WHEN THERE WAS NO WAR UNTIL 1939?

George Patton in 1938 stationed in Hawaii warned the war dept. that Japan was coming and from what direction, THREE YEARS BEFORE FDR PROVOKED JAPAN.

We all hated FDR, he did provoke the timing of the war and very poorly. However we have to realize, WWII was coming no matter who was in White House.

No connection???

In 1920, one year after WWI, the US started preparing the Malinta tunnel on Corregidor island for the coming invasion by Japan. The military used shiploads of cement, BOUGHT FROM JAPAN because it was cheaper.

The military knew Japan was coming, the government knew it and FDR was a nobody.

The wheels of war for Pearl Harbor were rolling in 1919. FDR was in charge in 1941 and he bungled the entire affair

No connection???

Attacking a gunboat had no connection with embargoing Japanese oil. AFAIK we did not retaliate. .

Yes, the US military having nothing better to do was worried about Japan's intentions in the Pacific which seemed to be tossing out the colonial occupying powers, including the US, and substituting itself in their place. Remember The Greater Southeast Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere? (Eventually it came to pass for a while in the 1960s.)

When their oil was embargoes, the Japanese felt they must attack or die. FDR wanted that and put the carriers to sea and left some old battleships in the harbor as bait. Worked well enough for his purpose.

The year before the New Deal passed the economy contracted by 12.9%...the year after it passed the economy grew by 10.8%...and continued to grow until the SCOTUS struck down two key programs...the Congress then passed them again and strong growth returned...btw...the dollar was never more stable than it was under FDR...

There are those, like Ron Unz, who contend Israel was responsible for 9/11. Argument being that while several government entities had motive, means and opportunity, only Israel had demonstrated predisposition to attack the US.

That's a total re-write of history...the business community never supported it because of the monopolies that were inherent to the Act...

"And unemployment in 1939 was the same as it was at the beginning of the depression"

Apples and oranges...unemployment accelerated to over 25%+in 3 years...in 1939 it was coming down from that peak...
