I used astronomical binoculars to get a good look and I could actually make out the shape of the solar panels.

Another time I was up in Canada visiting relatives, and I showed them how cool the app was. It was about to pass right over head practically and I got them to go outside to take a look.

Sure enough it appeared right where it was supposed to and traversed the sky according the projected path on the app.
